With an array of exhibits and performances that showcase the diversity of art offerings within the city, Hong Kong is now honoring its flourishing arts scene throughout the month, starting with the Hong Kong Arts Festival. Taking place February 23 through March 24, the event is featuring more than 1,700 international and local artists and more than 130 performances. Visitors can explore highlights such as “Whipped Cream,” by the American Ballet Theatre, “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time,” by the National Theatre of Great Britain, and Debussy's “Pelleas et Melisande,” staged by the legendary Welsh National Opera. Art Central Hong Kong will take place at the Central Harbourfront Event Space from March 27 to April 1. VIP and inauguration events will begin on March 26.
